Tech billionaire Elon Musk has recently sparked outrage across Hebrew and European media outlets after accidentally saluting as a Nazi during President Trump’s campaign, in advance of his 2025 inauguration ceremony.
News outlets like Expressen, The Jerusalem Post, Haaretz, and several others quickly took to their websites and condemned the act, just right after the controversial tech billionaire extended his hand imitating Hitler’s Nazi and fascist salute.
Additionally, the video swarmed social media platforms including Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter) sparking debate about the matter in question. While some took to Elon Musk’s defense by claiming that it was not a Nazi salute, other social media users and journalists had something else to say.

British journalist Owen Jones wrote, “This honestly could not look more like a Nazi salute.”
Another added, “In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath.”
Elon Musk took to the stage to celebrate Trump’s 2025 inauguration as the 47th US President. He added, “I just want to say thank you for making it happen,” raising his fist in the air as the crowd cheered in Capital One Arena.
He added, “It is thanks to you that the future of civilization is assured. Thanks to you. We’re gonna have safe cities, finally safe cities. Secure borders, sensible spending. Basic stuff. And we’re gonna take ‘Doge’ to Mars.”
Trump assigned Elon Musk to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a temporary organization that is not a federal executive department. To aid Trump in victory, Musk contributed roughly $200 million to America PAC, according to AP.
